About Goldie
Goldie Peacock writes stories, essays, and poems. Their words appear in HuffPost, Sundog Lit, MoonPark Review, and more. As a dance-based drag performer, Goldie spent over a decade bouncing between genders and genres before chilling out and becoming a writer. Celebrations of their creative work include a Brooklyn Nightlife Award and a Go Magazine Readers’ Choice Award, nominations for a Pushcart Prize, Best of the Net, and Best Small Fictions, an honorable mention in Exposition Review's Flash 405 contest, a gig headlining the Austin International Drag Festival, workshops taught at venues such as NYU, Georgia Tech, and The University of Southern Maine, and residencies with Chez Bushwick and Earthdance. Honored to have served as a panelist for the Newfound Prose Prize and a first reader for Shortwave, Goldie has lived in six states across the Northeast and Midwest and now calls Brooklyn home.
